The public checker stays free. Starter and Growth add the hourly watch, alerts, and the Monday note. Reply rate and bounce rate turn on only when an Instantly or Smartlead key is connected. Smartlead's $39 Base plan does not include that key.

A slot is one monitored mailbox, or one hand-added domain that has no monitored mailbox. Connecting a key does not remove the DNS watch.
Yes, on Starter and Growth. Add the domain in the app. Every hour we recheck SPF, DKIM, DMARC, MX, and the same DNSBLs as the public checker, then email you if a listing appears or authentication breaks. The Monday note still covers those domains. Bounce rate and reply rate stay blank until an API key is connected.
Smartlead's $39 Base plan does not include API access. Their API documentation says access depends on the subscription, and the key appears on higher plans. Some Instantly workspaces also have no usable key. Use the DNS-only watch on Starter. Connect a key later and reply-rate monitoring starts on the next hourly run.
Each monitored mailbox uses one slot. Each domain you add by hand, and that has no monitored mailbox, uses one slot. Extra mailboxes and extra domains stay on the account and are not checked until a slot opens. They are not deleted.
No. Inbox Watch does not send your cold email, warm a mailbox, or run an inbox-placement test. DNS and the official read APIs are the whole product.
Once a connected mailbox has at least 80 sent messages in the window from 28 days ago through 8 days ago, that reply rate and bounce rate lock. Later weeks are compared with that lock. It does not slide when the domain gets worse. A drop under half of the locked reply rate, with at least 30 sent in the last 7 days, raises an alert.
